March 2011: New website launch ~ proposals for a revamped Palestinian resistance and negotiating strategy from 'The Oswestry Forum', Shropshire, UK

The End-game - again?

Welcome to the Palestinian Resistance website

Mission Statement

Despite the undoubted virtuosity of the Palestinian National Movement over the last hundred years or so its national aspirations remain elusive. The contemporary options seem plain enough, to adopt either the more conventional two-state solution or a one state solution. The latter, by its very nature, would exchange civil rights for regular resistance and in our view could only be considered after the two state solution has been achieved; the low hanging fruit comes first.

Contents

The Mission Statement defines our favoured approach for a Palestinian strategy. Our 'Contents' have been structured accordingly, to promote discussion and analysis of the underlying argument.

Section I is thus dedicated to an in-depth analysis of our approach. The 'Large Document' subsection comprises very large documents best used as a reference source for very detailed information. In order to provide a wider perspective, Section II considers alternative approaches and strategies.

We invite you to join our forum commenting on any of the papers submitted. It is important to avoid one-liners and to submit a substantive post or response.

On-line Seminars

In this section we solicit ideas for on-line seminars.

Essentially, you as 'convenor' will provide a topic of interest and select 4 contributors who then provide a concise 'paper' of approximately 2000-3000 words relating to a particular aspect of the topic under discussion. All contributions will be 'circulated' to all contributors. All contributors then submit 5 questions to each of the other contributors who are then obligated to supply a reasonably detailed reply. A further round of questions and answers may be arranged to clear up residual 'problems'. We will then edit the totality of the proceedings into a regular format of presentations and discussions.

The first stage is therefore for you to submit a Proposal of your preferred topic plus a short-list of potential 'contributors' and a brief outline of the 'areas' to be covered by the contributors. You can then liaise with us with respect to queries and procedures.

When the Proposal has been 'accepted' by our team it will be your responsibility to collate the various contributions and questions/answers.
